Mission Trips - High School Students

During the 11-day Rutilio Grande, S.J. International Service Experiences, team members volunteer at CAM project sites that serve families living in gross poverty at the Guatemala City Dump. Service Teams will:

  • Tutor and assist teachers at elementary and nursery schools
  • Complete physical projects such as painting, cleaning, or landscaping
  • Host annual celebrations for local children
  • Visit ecologically and culturally significant sites
In preparation for this journey, every team member participates in an orientation program sponsored by local schools or CAM during the spring semester.

“My Service Experience strengthened my relationship with Christ. It opened my eyes not only to poverty, but the Bible as well. It has inspired me to live the stories of gospel. I want to go back and finish the work that He has started.”
—Andrew Trares, 2005
