Our Mission

 Central American Ministries (CAM) serves the “least of God’s people” living in garbage dump squalor through housing, education, and other human services.
CAM is devoted to building communities within the gross poverty of Central America. CAM’s goal is to foster economic independence for garbage dump dwellers by providing housing, daycare, and education so peace and dignity can be found for those who are willing to work and to dream.

- To improve living conditions for Central Americans living in squalor.
- To provide educational opportunities and training which will lead to dignified and independent living.
- To raise the consciousness of those in the first world concerning living conditions of the poor in Central America.
